Tbilisi: out of 858 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 339 cases detected in Tbilisi, Adjara - 53, Imereti - 158, Kvemo Kartli - 49, Shida Kartli - 50, Guria - 38, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 85, Kakheti - 44, Mtskheta- Mtianeti - 21, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 15, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 6, - Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Chief of Operational Staff at the Interagency Coordination Council said at a briefing at the Government Administration.

"Currently, there are 5 686 active cases of infection, of which: 2 520 people are treated in hospitals, including 1 229 in Tbilisi hospitals, 181 in Adjara, 485 in Imereti. At this stage, 575 people are seriously ill, including 254 in Tbilisi. In Adjara - 44, in Imereti - 146. There are 160 people on artificial respiration, 119 of them in Tbilisi, 5 in Adjara, 16. In Imereti - 16. 283 people are accommodated in clinical hotels, including 191 in Tbilisi, 81 in Adjara, 11 in Imereti. 883 people are undergoing treatment for the virus in a residential apartment.

480 people are placed in quarantine areas, including 202 in Tbilisi and 117 in Adjara.

In total, from October 6 to February 1, 22,357 people were transferred from the state border to quarantine areas.

"At this stage, 14,569 people are in self-isolation, including 9,621 in Tbilisi, 746 in Adjara and 1,528 in Imereti," Berdia Sichinava said.
