Kiev: The European Union has introduced export controls for coronavirus vaccines.
This is stated in the message of the European Commission.
In particular, today the EC has put into effect the requirement that the export of vaccines from COVID-19 outside the EU is conditional on the need to issue a permit by EU member states. This measure is related to an effort to ensure timely access to vaccines for citizens of EU member states and due to the lack of transparency in the export of vaccines.
At the same time, Ukraine, among other more than 90 countries, was included in the list of countries that will be exempted from export requirements under certain conditions.
The countries of the Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership program, which includes Ukraine, will not be subject to the export ban, the UP reports.
