Canberra: Until the end of this year, Australia is unlikely to allow free border crossings for foreigners and non-residents. This was announced by Australian Health Minister Brendan Marfe.
"I think the answer is probably no," he answered when asked about the feasibility of opening the borders in 2021.
According to him, most of this year in Australia will be "severe restrictions on border crossing."
"Even if we manage to vaccinate many residents, it is not known whether this will prevent the spread of the virus. Therefore, quarantine is likely to continue for some time," - the minister said
Reminder, Australia closed its borders on March 20, 2020. In addition, the Australians themselves were forbidden to leave the country for unimportant travel.
