Washington: U.S. enhanced its sanctions against Iran, adding 4 entities and 6 companies in the list, press release of U.S. Department of Treasury states.
It’s noted that sanctions were imposed against two Taiwanese and two Iranian citizens. Moreover, according to the department, sanctioned companies have their branches in Iran, United Arabian Emirates, Singapore and China.
,,Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated a network of six companies and four individuals that facilitated the procurement of sensitive goods, including U.S.-origin electronic components, for Iran Communication Industries (ICI), an Iranian military firm designated by the United States in 2008’’, the statement says.
As previously reported, special U.S. representative to Iran Elliot Abrams arrived in Israel where he met with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and his national security advisor Meir Ben-Shabbat in order to discuss anti-Iranian sanction plan.
