Bishkek: Central Election Commission (CEC) called presidential snap election of Kyrgyzstan for January 10, 2021, the statement says.
,,Snap elections are called for January 10, 2021’’, CEC press secretary Ruslan Izrekov said.
Moreover, Republic Constitution reads that presidential snap election must be held earlier than 3 months after predecessor’s resignation.
As previously reported, Kyrgyz CEC scheduled parliamentary re-elections for December 20.
Mass protest began in Bishkek on October 5. At least 2 thousand activists of party not obtaining seats in the parliament, gathered in the central square Ala-Too. Protesters demand to change vote results and hold parliamentary re-election.
