Washington-Kyiv, Ukraine: President of the United States Donald Trump
signed the law on the state budget for 2017, which stipulates that money from
the state fund can not be allocated to Russia, annexed by the Crimea and to
those who support the Russian occupation, Front News reports referring to the
text of the law that Is published on the website of the US Congress.
"Monetary funds provided for by this law can not be
available to help the government of the Russian Federation," the text of
the law says.
It is also noted that none of the funds can be provided to
help the governments of countries that support the annexation of the Crimea by
Russia, promote investment in the Crimea, except when such assistance will be
in the interests of the United States.
"The Secretary of the US Treasury must instruct
American executive directors of every international financial institution to
vote against any assistance from such an agency (including any loan, loan or
guarantee) for any program that violates the sovereignty or territorial integrity
of Ukraine," - Says the law.
In addition, a ban on any assistance from the US state
budget for the Russian “Rosoboronexport” and its subsidiaries. A corresponding
ban can be lifted if the Secretary of State and the Director of the CIA
determine that this is in the US interest.
In particular, in the event that “Rosoboronexport” stops
deliveries of lethal weapons to Syria, as well as when the Russian Federation
withdraws troops from the occupied part of Eastern Ukraine and when Russian
agents stop taking measures to destabilize the situation in the Donbass.
We will add that such restrictions will remain in force
until the Ukrainian government regains its sovereignty over the Crimea.
Recall that the law on the state budget for 2017, President
of the United States Donald Trump signed on May 5 and it will continue until
September 30.
