Kiev: In a hospital in Dnipro, a Ukrainian soldier died, who on January 26 was wounded by an enemy sniper while on night duty.
The operational command "Skhid" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports this on Facebook.
The dead turned out to be a military man from Donbass, Roman Dzyubenko. On the evening of January 26, a Russian sniper hit the guy in the head while shelling the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Novoaleksandrovka. For four days, doctors fought for his life.
As the Army Brothers of the wounded told reporters, the sniper's bullet went through the protective helmet.
"Roman's condition was extremely serious. He lost a lot of blood. It was necessary to immediately stabilize him right in the trench. Together with Vlad, also a combat medic, we connected a "vein" to him. We started infusion therapy. It’s almost a kilometer to the evacuation point. The guys carried him on a stretcher" - one of the military doctors recalled about the evacuation of the guy.
Roman has a baby and a wife with whom he recently celebrated an anniversary. Now volunteers are raising funds to help a young family.
