Tbilisi: Vladimir Weiss, 56, announced his resignation as manager of Georgian national football team after 0-1 loss against North Macedonia.
He stated that at post-match press conference which was left by most of Georgian journalists in protest.
"My job is over. My time is up. Thanks to Georgian fans, footballers and journalists. It wasn’t easy time, but, anyway, five good years passed. We are disappointed’’, Weiss said.
Georgian national football team lost 0-1 against North Macedonia and wasn’t able to qualify for European Football Championship which is going to occur in 2021. Slovakian Vladimir Weiss has been managing it since 2015.
