Kyiv: Polling stations of Ukrainian elections were opened at Sunday 8:00 am, October 25.
According to Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine, voting for local council deputies and heads of localities is available from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Besides that, it’s known that first exit-poll results will appear after closing polling places.
Voting for new composition of villages, towns, cities, districts and regions (oblasts), also for mayors, heads of villages and towns is held through the whole country. This year temporarily non-controlled territories of Donbass and Crimea, including 18 communities (Severodonetsk, Lisichansk, Volnovakha, Avdeevka, Ugledar, Toretsk, Stanitsa-Luganskaya, Popasnaya, Schastye etc.) became exclusions, not involved in the elections.
Due to quarantine restriction rules, imposed because of Covid-19 pandemic, entering voters are asked about their well-being and checked for temperature measuring.
Previously, president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced to hold ,,nationwide election’’ on October 25, day, when Ukrainians will be able to respond to 5 questions about: life sentence for corruption, free economic zone in Donbass, reduction of people’s deputies’ number down to 300, legalization of cannabis for medical purposes, security guarantees according to Budapest memorandum.
