Kyiv: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived at a rally  where he knelt in solidarity with other activists.

According to a CNN correspondent, the organizers of the rally in Ottawa were representatives of the Black Lives Matter public organization.

According to local media, the demonstrators periodically forced other people, in particular police officers and soldiers of the National Guard, to kneel for the same reasons.

Mass protests in the United States began on the day of the death of African-American George Floyd, who died in intensive care after being injured by a police officer in Minneapolis.

The US police tried to detain the African American George Floyd, knocking him to the ground. Later, one of the police officers pressed his knee around Floyd's neck. In a video published on social networks, you can hear the detainee repeating several times that he cannot breathe, after which he lost consciousness.
