Kyiv: One of the activists, who arrived at a rally against the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, tried to set himself on fire, demanding an end to the arbitrariness of police officers in the regions.

According to local media, the rally was held near the walls of the Ukrainian parliament.

According to Maxim Lyashenko, who set himself on fire, his family “were thrown out of the house by bandits, and the police were inactive and ‘’’roofed” them.”

“On March 15, 2019, a group of Titushkies who were defended by the police flew into our house, attacked us, threw us out, robbed us totally, all our personal belongings. All that remained was what was on us and the savings on the card. Police “roof” the bandits.

For eight months we tried to institute proceedings on the seizure of our property. Zero. No reaction. Only Ryaboshapka's team initiated six criminal cases, which were to be combined into one. It is ‘roofed’ at the highest level - the Ministry of Internal Affairs. There were we lived they broke all the walls. Now there is a workshop for tailoring Avakov’s backpacks. The police personally threw us away,” the man said.
